ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
James was more than annoyed as he was left waiting for Albus and Lily. Where were they? It wasnt like they had anything to do. No one ever got a life at Hogwarts unti at least their third year. Well, that wasnt entirely true. According to his father, he had gotten a life rather quickly in his Hogwarts years and it seemed to be the same for the eldest Potter kid. His first year he was mostly stared at because of who his father was but by his second year, the matter of whom his father was held no importance. By then, he had become James Potter, Gryffindor Seeker. That was mostly his title since his second year, except now his popularity had soared. He was the wizard version of being the football captain. He, James, was not only Gryffindor Seeker but he was also Captain of the team. Whatever he said, went. He was kind of like his father but better perhaps? James wasnt ashamed to say that he took full advantage of him being popular within his year. Though he just started dating Constance, he usually flirted with the girls...when it wasnt Quidditch season. He rarely ever did his homework usually because he had someone else do it for him and he rewrote it just so the professor couldnt say anything about his scribbled handwriting being awfully neat. Did his father approve? Yes and no. His father seemed proud of his eldest son's accomplishments but he did warn him about letting the popularity go to his head. So what if he ruffled his hair every so often so it appeared he had just hopped off his broom? It was a good look for him plus it gace him a reason to not brush his hair every morning. Chicks dug the shaggy bedhead he always had. Just the thought of those fangirls caused James to run his hand through his bangs, ruffling them up and letting them fall back in his eyes. He knew he had gotten his hair just right when a first year girl squealed at her table. Gets them everytime.. Just as he started to form his infamous smirk upon his thin lips, a familiar voice caught his ear. Albus had finally come down.
Glancing upwards, he watched his brother sit on the back of the couch he was laying on. The certain look in his younger brother's eyes told him the boy was thinking about jumping on the other side and slam into his lap. James narrowed his blue cerulean eyes at Albus, letting him know he was on to him. Just for extra measure he told him in a low voice. "Dont even think about it." He sighed gently and rubbed his eyes as Al wondered about the Hogsmeade trip. James nodded then explained his dilemna. "I could've gone but I forgot my new permission slip saying I could go...I think I left it somewhere in my room...which means Mum'll have to find it. Anyways, there's no need for me going off to Hogsmeade. Teddy or Constance will get me something I'm sure. Teddy almost always gets me some Sugar Quills." He shrugged lightly like it was no big deal that he was the only fourteen year old left behind from the trip. Suddenly, another familiar voice entered into their little conversation. Lily.
James rolled his eyes at his little sister. Sure he had been the one to call both of them down, but Lily could at least try to show as much enthusiasm as Al had. He spoke annoyingly, "What could you possibly be in the middle of?...ugh, never mind. I was just trying to see what you two were up to. We never seem to hang out anymore so I figured why not have a little sibling bonding time? Mum always wants us to do that...I think." He knitted his eyebrows in thought. Had their mother said that? Or perhaps it was their grandmother. Whoever it was, would be glad that James was sort of taking the initiative...it was for selfish reasons, but did they know that? No. Would they agree to do the bonding? He was sure they would or else he could just owl their mother and have her scold them about not wanting to bond with their older brother. A smirk fell on his lips at the thought. Sometimes he didnt believe how clever he could be.
