When Zeke was little, his sister had a pet rabbit that they kept outside. Zeke hated that little fucking rabbit. His sister used to put it in his bed and he would find wet spots and rabbit droppings. All he wanted was that rabbit dead. It took two long years, but finally, Zeke’s prayers were answered. He saw the whole thing from his bedroom window. A white coyote slipped quietly into their backyard and stalked up to the wire and wood cage next to the garage. Zeke could almost see him smirking in the moonlight. With two quick swoops, the door of the cage was opened, and before Zeke could even take a breath, his sister’s rabbit became a bloody mess in the coyote’s mouth. With red glistening on its lips, the coyote turned to Zeke’s window and looked him dead in the eye, with that crazy coyote smirk. Zeke couldn’t help but have his lips turn up in amusement in return to the animal as it stalked away, back into the night that it came from. [/ul]

I haven’t RPed for a while, and I don’t have any actual RP samples, so I hope it’s okay if I just write something about Zeke’s life for you. I realize that this would technically be god-modding, but I promisepromisepromise I don’t do that when I RP.
Zeke Sykes sat on the lonely swing on the forgotten end of the playground at recess like he did any other day. But today, he wished he’d hadn’t have come over here at all. It was the twenty-fourth today, his birthday. Every other day not having friends was just fine with him, but today was the single most important day of the year, and he had absolutely no one to share it with. His family, of course, but that was always the same and it was always boring. He wanted friends to run around with and be crazy with and share his talents with. Zeke desperately wanted to show off what he could do to someone, anyone, but his father’s rules forbid it. You must never speak a word about this to anyone you do not trust fully, and completely. His father’s voice resounding in his head made him cringe. Zeke didn’t understand his intense need to follow the rules his father set about his gifts, but he figured it was for the best anyhow. If no one knows, no one can know what’s coming.
He rocked himself lazily on the swing and scanned the playground, looking at all the happy, smiling children that he was so different from. He felt so alone that it hurt today. Dropping his head low, he just tried to shut everything out. Sometimes it helped to just take a second to breathe. His father taught him to do this when he got upset. Zeke could feel when something was about to happen, now. It was like he could almost see it happen, it was the most peculiar thing, and he wondered if that’s what all magic felt like. He desperately wanted to get better at it, and he wondered when his father would ever teach him more.
The shadow of a boy consumed Zeke, who instantly snapped up his head and saw the person he would have marked at the top of his “don’t want to see…ever” list. Seth Croup was the biggest, toughest, meanest kid in the whole fifth grade, definitely someone that you wouldn’t want to mess with. And for some reason, that didn’t matter today.
“Look at the freak sitting all alone. I think he’s crying.” A few boys chuckled at Seth’s words. The boy on Seth’s left was Finnegan O’Connor. His stomach hung out of the bottom of every shirt he wore and jiggled like jell-o while he laughed. Zeke wanted to puke. That sick feeling was usually a sign that something was going to happen.
“Hey Ezeekieelll!” Seth mocked him. “What are you? Amish? Are you an Amish little freak? Where’s your hat little Amish freak?” The boys all laughed, Finnegan jiggled, and Seth drew in even closer. He ducked his head down so he was at eye-level. Now Zeke felt the burn in his chest begin. It was dull now, but it would grow. When it got to the point that Zeke just can’t stand it anymore, he’s going to make something happen. Usually he would try to run from a situation like this. It’s in the rules, after all, but not today. This was Zeke’s day, and he would do what he wanted. He would show Seth Croup and Finnegan O’Connor just how special he was and how sorry they’d be for all the mean things they’ve ever done to him.
“Get out of my face, Seth,” Zeke said. It came out much more powerfully and darkly that he thought it would. This made him smile inside.
“Why don’t you fucking make me,” Seth glared at him, daring him. This only excited Zeke more, and the burning continued to grow stronger and stronger. It was almost like the burning made him get up and push a bewildered Seth and send him tumbling to the ground. The burning jumped and Zeke knew that it was getting close. Something magic was going to happen and that would show those boys once and for all.
Seth only had time to get up and scream a few obscenities before it happened. Zeke just saw it out of the corner of his eye and had time to move away before Seth was struck in the head with a with part of the bench that had just exploded next to them. The other boys were all hit to some degree, and some of them needed medical attention. They all said they saw Zeke blow the bench up, so, even though no trace of an explosive was found, Zeke was expelled.
This was school number four.
