There wasn't much to do that day for Jessie. Everything that consituted as her 'chores' for the day had been finished hours ago and none of her friends were to be found. Woody was off with Slinky doing who knew what, probably something to do with scouting out the other towns or whatever it was that they did all day, and they weren't answering their phones anyways. And while she would like to see Buzz, he wasn't answering his phone either. It didn't surprise her though. Buzz was never one to keep his phone attatched to his hand throughout the day. Sometimes it took him a few hours to get back to a text or a missed call, but he would eventually call her back. And Bo, well, she was Bo. Everything they had ever talked about revolved around Jessie's love life or whatever. Jessie didn't mind hanging out with Bo every so often and she would like to talk to Bo fairly soon, she wasn't feeling it today. Jessie felt more like running around and being with herself or whatever she had a whim to do.
With the leather bag her parents sent for her birthday filled with her phone and iPod, her ears were filled with the sounds of Glee. Yes, she loves Glee. She is a Gleek. She really hoped that someone would form a Glee club at school, she thought that it would be awesome and would totally join. She triapsed through the grass and went in no way in particular. She was always happy exploring anything even if she had been there before a million times. There was always something new to see or something new to do. She could even make something to do each time if she really wanted to. But this time was purely to kill time and go with whatever she happened to run into. Maybe she would stop and get some ice cream, but she was doing this entirely on the fly. Just like most of the things she did, just going for it on a whim. She was never really into thinking things out and then deciding if it was a good idea or not. If she thought of it, she usually did it. Unless of course, there was some deep feeling of bad foreboding that came with it. And even then, there was a little part of her that wanted to do it just to see what happened. But that wasn't often.
She went though the common area and it was mostly empty. There were a few groups milling around, but they were talking amongst themselves and not paying any attention to anyone else. She had a fleeting wish that she was with the guys in one of those groups. It had been so long since they all hung out together. She felt slight pangs of abandonment as she thought about it. Were they avoiding her on purpose? Were they filling their days just so that they could say that they were busy when she called? She had to stop herself from thinking like that. Woody wouldn't do that to her. Buzz definately wouldn't do that. If she mentioned that she wanted to hang out that day she knew that they would both drop whatever they were doing to hang out as long as it wasn't too important. She sighed, hoping that they were just missing her phonecalls. She looked around the rest of the place and noticed a girl sitting by herself. She looked fairly familiar, but then again, everyone looked familiar to Jessie. She wasn't terrible with names and faces, but after a while everyone just kinda ran together to her unless they gave her a reason to stand out.
She walked over to her and noticed that she was playing with a GameBoy. Jessie hadn't had a GameBoy in years and she was excited to just see one again. The boys had xBoxes and PS3s, but nothing handheld. "Hi, my name's Jessie. What're you playing?" she said, pulling the earphones out and putting her iPod on pause. She sat down next to the girl, her face eager to see what she was playing. Whenever the guys got new games, she was always sitting right next to them watching them barrel through the checkpoints. They were like interactive movies and she loved to watch. Jessie never really wanted to play, but she was ok watching. And if she ever got bored doing that, Slink and Rex were around to play board games or cards with. Then Woody would feel bad and stop his game to jump into theirs. She hoped that this girl wouldn't just look at her weird and brush her off or be rude or something. That would definately put a damper on Jessie's day. And she hated her days being ruined by just a few words and an attitude.
