OVERVIEW: Teddy Remus Lupin was born on April 16 to Remus John Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks. His arrival, some may say, was the final piece to the puzzle of their love. Tonk could not have been more excited about the arrival of their son and Remus, well he didn't know what to do with himself. He never thought he'd have a child, so when Tonks told him she was pregnant he silently cheered to himself, pleased with himself for the first time in a while. Nine incredible months later Teddy made his way into the world surprising both his parent when he screamed his hair changed three shades of red. Apparently, Tonks told Remus exhaustedly, he had inherited the 'Tonks family charm.'
Teddy wouldn't get the opportunity to truly know his parents. They were taken from him when he was only six months old. Being so very young, he didn't truly understand the lose, but, even through wide, innocent eyes he knew something had changed. His livelihood had been entrusted to Harry Potter, then seventeen and, quite obviously, incapable of taking care of a child. Teddy instead was taken into into the Weasley home. Molly and Arthur, in retrospect, may not have been best suited to take care of him. They were mourning the loss of their own son at the time, but Molly took to Teddy extremely fast, using him (although she would never admit it, to fill the void in her heart which Fred's death had made.
Teddy fit into their home easily and both Molly and Arthur accepted him as their own. He was eight years old when he went to officially live with Harry and Ginny, though he frequently visited the Weasley's to check on an aging Molly. He was already close to James, Lily and Albus, but he grew closer to them during the next few years.
At the youthful age of 11 Teddy embarked on his first train ride to Hogwarts alongside James and his soon to be crush Victoire Weasley. That year was the best year of his life. He had made friends with the Potters and Weasley, but until that moment he had lived through them, not quite fitting in as much as he wanted. At Hogwarts he could make new friends and make a name for himself. Who would have known that both his mother and father had left his own mark on the school. After being sorted into Gryffindor, the house of his father, Teddy slipped right into the life of a hogwarts student. His ability to change his appearance entertained those around him and gained him many friends that first year. It also got him in loads of trouble. Apparently changing yourself to look like a professor to get out of going to class was frowned upon.
All six years of Hogwarts life was amazing. He bonded with his family, became quite infatuated with Victoire Weasley and learned a very important life lesson--appreciate what you have because any second it could all be taken away.
He wasn't at home when Harry and Ginny were attacked at the Potter house. He couldn't tell you how it happened, where it happened nor how it felt like to watch your father die. People, especially those that knew Harry and Ginny well, will tell you that it was a blessing that he wasn't there when it occured. No child needs to see something like that, but that's not how Teddy sees it. What if he had been there? Maybe he could have done something to keep them alive... Twice he lost his parents to the dark arts. Twice he had to face the realization that maybe happiness wasn't for him. Teddy fell in asore spot, stuck between what what happened and what could hav been.
At this moment he's aimless. He smiles and laughs, but the hope in his eyes is gone. Although he loves the Potters he doesn't feel as close to them as before (but he makes sure they are ok when he can).
A few months after Harry and Ginny's death Teddy moved out of the Potter house and into his own small apartment on the outskirts of London. He keeps to himself mostly, though he does occasionally go to gatherings with his family so that they won't be concerned. Right now he doesn't know what to do with himself. Maybe during his seventh year he'll figure it all out. [/SIZE]

RP SAMPLE:
So this was what real sand felt like. That was Ava's first thought as she walked out onto the beach. She had almost forgotten. It had been so long since she stood on it. Dressed in a knee length emerald green dress with a white, beach hat on her head, Ava made her way unceremoniously down the beach, her feet bare. In her arms was a towel, on her back a pack of her old paleontology equipment. This was surely not the Sahara desert, not even close, but she wanted to dig, to discover something, anything while enjoying this land.
First, however, she would need to leave the confines of the beach, but it was just to beautiful to neglect just yet.
Round eyes dazzingly bright as she walked along the shore line, she let the water wash up over her feet. Every few feet or so she'd kneel down and run her fingers through the water or peer closer at a stone or white tinted shell. It was all quite beautiful. She could learn to love this place.
Perhaps she'd stay behind once the ship left...
"Ridiculous." She chided herself. Just because she was running away from one person didn't mean she need run away from her life...her career. She had climbed aboard the Peregrin and now the Talon with her pride and confidence intact. She'd continue her life with them firmly in place.
All around her the natives enjoyed the day in the sun. Most of them took little notice of her, although some looked her as she passed. She smiled warmly, inclining her head and continuing on. Although she was curious about them, she hadn't come here to work. She'd leave that up to everyone else if they chose to ruin the mood.
She was twenty or so feet away from Gillian and Morgan before she saw them. She had allowed her mind to wander so that she was unaware of her surroundings. Now though she made a beeline toward them, catching the last bit of Morgan's words.
"I have to say I'd look horrible as a redhead. I hope that doesn't mean I have to leave," she joked as she made her way over to them. She tucked her towel beneath her arms and hefted her leather tote higher over her shoulder, her amusement written in every line of her young face.
