likes: coffee, muggles, night, molkskin items, rings, necklaces, fireworks, smoking, music, summer.
dislikes: prejudice, her short temper, early morning, uniform, long hair, rules, being sick.
strengths: out-going, fearless, intelligent, familiar with muggles, complex spells, physical combat.
weaknesses: forgetful, short-tempered, her brother, open water, lack of sleep, blunt.
dementor: doryen has a fear of drowning. when she was younger, her father used to take her swimming during the summer holidays. doryen had always been skittish about water and swimming. she was standing by the poolside on her last swimming lesson, and she slipped into the deep end. she can remember sinking deeper, and her lungs getting tighter. doryen never went near open water again.
patronus: doryen and her brother, rhys, had always been close. doryen loved having a little brother. she was a little rough and boyish from the start, so a sister wouldn't have helped. there is no specific memory. it is just a blur of her and rhys, sitting in their room and smiling. the form is a panther.
sexuality & relationship status: bisexual; single.

overall history: there isn't much to the first few years of doryen's life. she was born on the twelfth of august, lived as a happy, healthy tot and one year later, she had a little brother. they were two peas in a pod, they were always together and grew to be each other's best friend. doryen recieved top education without needing to leave her home. her father was a primary school teacher, though when doryen was willing to learn, she was too young. the solution was simple, that doryen would be home-schooled for the time being. when the time arrived that she could join the public school, she was ahead of all the other children her age, and so doryen never attended a muggle school.
one minor detail through the years of doryen's childhood, was when she and her brother earned a baby sister. doryen was thrilled, however this baby didn't respond as well as rhys did when he was a baby. and doryen was noticing certian things in the way her parents acted. maybe they missed being parents to newborns, but doryen's little sister had her parents wrapped around her tiny finger, and doryen knew it. practically from birth, doryen and tia never got on. doryen would refuse to play with her, tia would ruin her big sister's things and doryen would constantly be blamed for it. it had gotten to the point where doryen was used to it, like it was a routine for her. she'd learned to ignore her parents, they only repeated their disciplinary speeches anyway, and they'd forgotten that doryen was a clever and independent girl. so this is the only down side of doryen's life, but it becomes a major issue as she and tia reach adolescence.
doryen attended a muggle summer program, to get children educated in more creative aspects of learning. doryen knew she was better for practical learning, and picked up on every skill she could achieve. doryen loved art and creativity, and even music was an important aspect in her life. doryen had self-taught herself to play the piano. she was determined, though, to stretch herself. that summer, she'd picked up a guitar for the first time, and she knew this was for her. doryen was seven when she learned to play the guitar, and when she came home, for once, it felt like to her, she had some of the attention. the relationship with her and tia had not improved at all. tia was using that summer to try and haul rhys to her side. luckily she didn't have enough time for him to warm up, and so the sisters picked up where they left off. at nothing.
tia was more than happy to see doryen leaving for hogwarts. doryen was informed of her heritage a couple years prior to her eleventh birthday. she was looking forward to going to a real school for the first time, to meet other students like her. she'd been told all about hogwarts by her witch mother. doryen was sorted into slytherin, and wasn't all that pleased about this arrangement. she'd requested to be transferred to a different house twice, but this only proved that the sorting hat had made the right decision. it was plain to see that doryen was determined, stubborn and fearless - all traits of the slytherin house. she eventually accepted the hat's decision and quickly made friends with her fellows, and other students of different houses. doryen was set on showing she didn't have the same negative reputation as her house.
doryen had succeeded for the most part. she'd befriended most of the students in her year, however all of them could see the true slytherin in her. she had a certian disregard for the rules, would often get into trouble and may sometimes earn a detention. though this puts her in a dark light, doryen has traits of gryffindor aswell. somewhat reckless, doryen has no self-preservation, never thinks before acting and she enjoys to gamble, to take risks. this can be seen as stupidity or courage. all in all, doryen began to let loose as her scool career progressed. her grades were average, enough to make her parents happy, but an education wasn't what doryen wanted anymore. she desired more adventure in her life, and so began mixing with the wrong people to find a few thrills, she was suspended from classes on numerous occasions and her grades weren't what her parents worried about anymore.
doryen has become quite a character. now she's twenty and though she didn't ask for it, she earned a bad reputation at school. still, people can see that she has a softer side. it just takes a little probing and encouragement to be shown. she still keeps a strong bond with rhys though. he understands doryen the most. doryen left hogwarts with average grades and had various temporary jobs until she found her position at flourish & blotts. doryen moved out quickly from her parents to live in a flat with a friend.

role play sample: this is my most recent post.there was the strangest feeling of deja vu. of feeling like he'd been here before, not so long ago, stepped in the same places and saw the same things. thought it was not exactly like deja vu. there were slight differences, this was much more vivid and memorable than an illusion of the mind. hogwarts has a thick aroma of perfume and alcohol this time, it was louder, brighter and there was a lot more life in the halls. gabriel believed this to be a dream he was thinking of, as he stepped through the great oak doors into the entrance hall of hogwarts. a loud buzz of excited conversation was all gabriel could hear, and he could see only a sea of students and adults mixed together. he noticed a small group of girls by the door who were obviously looking at him, but as he made eye contact with the circle of adolescent girls, they turned sharply away, and giggled. gabriel smirked as he made his way through the somewhat chaotic crowd gathered outside the great hall, where the christmas ball was meant to be held. gabriel did wonder why so many gathered outside the room in which they were supposed to be occupying.
that feeling arrived again, the feeling of repeating a moment again. gabriel had only walked in and viewed the windows on the wall opposite him. however, what he saw in his mind was a lot murkier. gabriel, fully unaware of this, was in fact suffering from repressed memories, and now they were trying to surface. these lost images in his memory were darker, more frightening and confusing. he was standing where he stood in the present, just inside the great hall. it was way into the evening, and the entire castle was still, silent. it was colder, too. the great hall had a much less welcoming feel to it, as if it had been neglected for years. and that was all gabriel was seeing. he'd never make any sense out of these images, but he knew that they were real moments, they'd happened before, but gabriel couldn't tell when, and what actually happened. sometimes there were bright flashes of green and red. he was even able to hear apart of his memories. it wasn't a lot to work from, but it was muffled voices. all he could tell from them was that each voice was in some kind of distress or pain. it was frustrating, especially on a night such as this one.
gabriel's beautiful wife-to-be was having a night off from being an incredible mother. little aurora was tucked safely in bed, she was being well taken care of, and this gave both mother and father peace of mind. though gabriel didn't really need a night out, he knew that samara did, and she deserved it too. one night to let her hair down and enjoy herself with friends. gabriel was looking forward to the evening ahead as well. he was just unhappy with himself, that he couldn't start the evening with samara, for he had business at the ministry to deal with. he'd be talking to robert tomorrow. however, gabriel was here and he saw his fiance almost immediately, sticking out like a sore thumb in the best of ways. the emerald dress she wore was wrapped around her slender body so delicately, and she radiated a goddess-like beauty. nobody else compared. and so gabriel headed quickly over to greet his great love, and to begin their night. he stopped behind her and wrapped his arms tightly around her waist, leaning his face into her neck and kissing her softly. "may i just say, you look like an angel dropped from heaven." he whispered into samara's ear. gabriel was so charming, he always was.
gabriel would holding, or standing next to samara at least for the rest of the evening. he was well aware of the events that occoured the last time that hogwarts had a loose evening. gabriel was armed with his wand, having been pre-approved to keep it when withing the castle. if anything was going to happen, gabriel would be ready.
