likes: animals, people getting healed, flowery smells, family, the potters/weasleys, large family gatherings, books, the smell of coffee stains, quietness, being able to help people get better, red hair, painting, flower colors, purple flowers, quidditch
dislikes: big crowds of people she doesn't know, speaking in front of many people, not being able to help someone, feeling weak, fights, bullies, getting hurt, death, snakes bites, stereotyping houses, happy couples--more of jealousy than dislike, nervousness, werewolves
strengths: 1] her ability to help people get better. ever since she was a young girl alice loved helping people and watching them get better. ever since she was a little girl and learned about her grandmother and grandfather, ever since then she's wanted to help people. 2]peacemaker. alice is like the peacemaker within her family and friends. although there aren't that many fights that need to be resolved, but when there are fights, she's perfect for the job. 3]people. she's just a people person, when she wants to be. she's great at calming people down after they've just had a fight with someone or stop them from crying about something.
weaknesses: 1]werewolves. no matter what alice will always have a weakness for werewolves. she hates them and is terrified by them. she'll always be like that. she will never be able to get those nightmares out of her memory, she wishes but it won't happen. sometimes she still gets them. 2]people. they're her strength and her weakness. she can't handle large amounts of people/talking to large amounts of people. she gets really anxious and nervous; she gets pale white, her hands shake and start to sweat. she's a nervous wreck when she's with strangers like that. 3]gets sidetracked easily.
veritaserum: 1] she used to have really vivid nightmares about werewolves, almost like it was real. the dreams lasted for many years. they would come and go, she never knew when she would dream about them. it got to a point where she tried to not go to sleep because of them but would always somehow fall asleep anyway and have those nightmares. 2] she doesn't see all that much wrong with slytherins. she actually thinks that some of them can be good company when they're in a good mood. she would never say it out loud, though. her parents don't like slytherins all that much.
dementor: her nightmares. she would always wake up sweating and screaming. then her mother would sing her to sleep or her father would just lay with her till she fell asleep.
patronus: her first day at hogwarts. her father was watching her carefully when she was going to be sorted and was overjoyed when she was placed in the same house as he had, gryffindor. she was also overjoyed when she was placed in gryffindor, the same house as her brother. the two were always very close so it was a feeling of security knowing that the two were in the same house.
sexuality & relationship status: straight. alice has been in a couple of relationships before and has had a fling or two during hogwarts but none of it ever led up to something. she didn't fall in love. she might've felt like she was in love at the time but it didn't last for long. she's a hopeless romantic and wants to find her prince charming. she's single.
I HEARD ONE ON YOU

overall history: alice vittoria longbottom was born on a very hot day, july seventh twenty years ago to be exact. her parents neville and hannah already had a son, henry and when alice was born they were overjoyed. neville always wanted a daughter and so did hannah, of course they hoped for a boy too. but they thought they would get two boys. they would be happy with two boys but were pleased with a boy and a girl. the second neville saw little alice he knew that he would name her after his mother. he told himself that he would find a way to include alice into his daughter's name. hannah quickly agreed, at first she was going to be vittoria alice longbottom but was changed to alice vittoria longbottom. it fits her perfectly. there's really isn't any meaning behind 'vittoria'. it's just a name that her mother really liked and alice is from her grandmother.
alice had a very loving family from the time she was born. she had a very loving and kind hearted mother and a father that loved her like any father would love their only daughter. when she started to get the nightmares at the age of six her father and mother were terrified of what was happening to their poor daughter. she was taken to various wizard psycharists that specialized in that sort of thing, but they all said that it would away in time. it didn't go away soon enough. at the age of eight alice was terrified of going to sleep because of the nightmares. she would fall asleep while trying to stay awake and be even more frightened when she woke up from the nightmare. the nightmares were always very gorey and always involved werewolves. it got very bad in time. at the age of nine she was very anxious about everything and a nervous wreck. the nightmares were causing her damage to her personality. she wasn't as happy and chippy as she used to be. her father got fed up with the people who were telling them that there wasn't really a cure. so he brought her over to st. mungo's. they couldn't do much but they did give her a potion that would make her calmer to take before going to bed every night. it worked like a charm but it worked very slowly. her nightmares were gone a year before she went to hogwarts but she still has memories of the nightmares and sometimes has glimpses of the werewolves in her dreams.
alice was happiest when she got her hogwarts letter. she didn't want to leave her mother but she knew that she would be with her father and brother and they would look out for her - although she hated that. it didn't take the hat very long to choose a house for her. it wasn't even completely on her head before it shouted GRYFFINDOR! she took one look at her father before sitting down next to her brother. it was a look of happiness and glad that she was his daughter. she had a pretty normal hogwarts career. her father was her professor so it was a bit awkward during classes, especially when she would get a bad grade on something. he would talk to her about it and tell her to study more and she did. alice isn't somebody to not do what she's told. she's a complete daddy's girl and does what he says.
the second she graduated she started to be a trainee at st. mungo's. it wasn't surprising that she chose to be a trainee at st. mungo's. all her life she wanted to help people, she even once told her dad that she would make "grampy and gramy all better again". he just smiled at her, knowing that it would never happen. she really wants to make her grandparents better. she wants to know the woman that she was named after. she became an official healer a year later when she was nineteen.
from a young age alice was raised to be who she wanted to be and free to make her own decisions. being on the side of the order wasn't forced upon her, her father and mother were both order members so it was just natural that she would follow them and become one as well. alice chose to become part of the order, it wasn't forced upon her.

it was one of those nights when blythe would stay up very late, sometimes even past midnight studying. you could blythe a slacker but she always got good marks at the end of the year. she never struggled in school, it seems that she would be the 'perfect' daughter. her father would rather her be just like him than have good marks. she didn't do much to annoy him, she was just herself. that was just it, she was herself and blythe wasn't a bitchy princess-y slytherin that wanted her daddy to buy her everything that she wanted. on nights like these blythe would realize that she hadn't finished that essay that was due in the morning or that she forgot to study for that test in history of magic. she threw her papers down in frustrated, she could never understand divination. she never liked it, even as a third year when she first decided to take it. somehow, though she ended up taking it again, she had no clue why, it made her work ten times harder than her other subjects.
blythe slipped on her slippers and took her wand with her to the common room. she wasn't going to go through anymore frustration than she already was going through. maybe she could go to the kitchen and get some tea to ease her mind? before she was even at the bottom of the stairs she heard a voice and that voice was coming from the body of one of blythe's best friends, ashton valentine, although she loved to call him ashy or ash and sometimes she liked to tease him and call him ashley. he was basically the brother that she always wanted, he was an ass at times but she didn't mind; him being an ass was better than daemon. "can i help you?" blythe rolled her eyes some, "is that any way to talk to a lady, ash?" she smirked and finished walking down the rest of the stairs, her slippers made it difficult to walk in, but she made them work.
blythe walked over to ash and sat down at the end of the couch and pushed his feet off of the end so that she could have some room. "what are you working on?" she tried to see what he was working on, but she couldn't read upside down. "i was working on divination, it was horrible." anybody that knew blythe knew that she didn't talk all that much, but with ash she talked. she didn't talk to other people because she didn't have anything to say to them, she always had something to say to ash whether it was about the way he treated girls or how much of an ass he was. of course, he knew that she was joking. nothing that blythe said was ever really serious.
