ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Ever since Gabriel had been young he'd enjoyed the summer. It always had a certain type of scenary that simply appealed to him the most. Sure the winter seemed much more fresh since it was cold, but the summer was warm and welcoming. He knew this summer would be a particular one he would enjoy. It was a simple hunch. Usually his hunches ended up coming true so he'd go with this one. He'd enjoyed almost all of his summers in his hundred and twenty years of living. There had of course been a few that were most likely ones that were the most memorable - for being utterly terrible or boring. How ironic was it that he remembered the bad things rather than the good things. He shrugged to himself, both hands in his slacks as he stood before an old mirror, to simply check if his appearance was.... good enough for the outer world. Of course naturally being a vampire he look appetizing to most humans - it was a vampires way of drawing food in. Of course he was hungry. He hadn't ate for a week or so - and no doubt would be on the prowl for food as soon as his eyes darkened to unbearable.
He didn't exactly enjoy prying on little women and occassionally men for food. He didn't exactly want to be so cruel. He usually pryd on the poor. Although it seemed the healthier a person was the tastier they were he'd rather destroy lives that were pretty much destroyed rather than pull some high class woman to his home only to eat her and dispose of her. At least the poor weren't cared for. The poor of course we're just as easy as everyone else to pull into the trap that a vampire set, Gabe knew of plenty of people that enjoyed tormenting or playing with a humans emotions - Gaberiel on the other hand actually respected the fact that humans had just as much right to live as he had. It was probably just some sort of emotional to his human life that he missed dearly but of course there was no going back to what he once had. He didn't dwell on the past most of the time he simply liked to reminisence over what once was - and what now is. Of course at least he wasn't completely alone. There we're plenty people around for him to converse with - he even lived with a fellow vampire, but that didn't close up his empty part of his heart.
As a vampire he found no need to work, he didn't even really need that many of his household parts but over the year he and his friend had gathered enough to make the house look... pretty. Homely. Of course their house was old - it held a lot of memories for the Aldridges. He enjoyed the time he spent there, sometimes they left for a while only to return years later and continue on with a fresh start. Of course that didn't mean he kept himself cooped up. Much like today he headed off out of his home down to the Cremone Gardens. It was summer, he enjoyed the views - especially when he could walk. It gave him time to just let go and be himself. Of course it was sad to see couples taking a romantic stroll around, a few stray kids here and there. He kept to himself, only greeting passerby that greeted him. Eventually he dropped down onto a bench, leaning back to enjoy the remainder of his day.
Of course the heat was unusual since the winter had been rather cold. But he was contempt in it. The gardens almost springing so much colour it felt like he was sat in the perfect picture. Surely it was just because the caretakers of the gardens took such special care in esuring the winter didn't destroy the grounds - meaning the soil was simply perfect for the perfection before him. He was at his happiest here. Even if he was on his own, he could sit for hours just admiring the time and patience of the gardens - pondering over whether it was worth trying to retrieve his own at his manor. The Aldridge's gardens were pretty much the symbol of him. Death. After all that was what he was, whether he be dead himself - or the death of others. He never counted how many he'd killed - or well drained. He did at first - it had been his very own way of coping with murdering innocent people and the fact he couldn't help it. He could hear everyones hearts beating - the blood being pumped round, it was almost enough to drive a new born vampire insane, but he'd learnt to cope - and when he was relaxed he found it much easier to deal with than if he was rushing around trying to get his mind off of it. It was simply soothing.
Over the past few weeks one girl had kept popping back into his mind. Cora Whitcomb. For some reason to him - she was perfect. Stunning in every way, graceful as a lady should be and yet she had an essence of curiousity about her. She surely enough got his tastebuds pumping, but he wouldn't take her. She was after all and aristcrat. And that meant she was top of the top. Though the past few week the pair seemed to keep bumping into each other - as if fate wanted them to get to know each other. He knew little of her engagement but knew no doubt from the family she came from she would be married off to another rich fool and live the life she simply deserved. Well she didn't really deserve it, after all she had been one of the lucky few born into wealth - they needn't work. Then there we're the poorest of the poor search for a simple job or a coin to feed their family. Times were hard in london - most we're better off middle class or above but even in the middle classes there was always a chance of loosing money - even if they claimed londons profits where heading to their all time high with a victorios queen on the throne.
He had already sensed her heading this way. A small smile arriving to his face as he could smell her not that far - but surely heading his way. Would she approach? He hoped so. The few encouters he'd had were very enjoyable with the young lady. She came up from behind him, a bright smile lightening her face and a small curtsy to show she had the propper manners to have what it took to be a lady. "I always imagined you would have a great garden at your home when I was a little girl and that is why your family never visited this place." her voice could have been as sweet as music - because to him she sounded perfect. Politely he stood up, bowing down only slightly, as a polite greeting to her own. "Im starting to think if we keep crossing paths with each other Lady Witcomb we may have to start making it intentional" he mused back, a charming grin lighting up his own face as his deep eyes gazed over her. She must have certainly been warm by the clothing she was wearing, so politely he gestured to the shelted bench he had been sitting on to keep her in the shade. "How are you then, Mister Aldridge?" he smiled, "I am happy thank you, and how are you? Shouldn't you have a chaprone around?" he replied heartidly. "And as for my gardens the winter has killed it off, im looking for a new caretaker to rise it back to life. Perhaps then you would care to visit?" he added.
