ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
She hated the cold, everything about it, yet walked across the grounds that below freezing winter morning too angry to even notice the snow whipping around the walkway. The owl had arrived earlier that morning, and after smashing several vases in her room, throwing a charms book at her mirror, and making at least three second years burst into tears, Karma Ashwood was finally calm enough to talk about it. The case bounced on her hip as she walked up the steps, but she didnt even notice, there would be a nice bruise there in the morning but that was something she had become accustom to over the years, it was part of the title. The large doors opened and she stormed into the main, her stride never changing from the wet snow to the slick marble. To help her height, Karma had taken to wearing intense high heels everywhere, she owned a pair of dragon scale boots in every color, sometimes it seemed that they became another part of her.
It didnt take the girl long to reach the 7th floor. She hated being up near the Ravenclaw dorms, but she had questions that needed to be answered, then taken care of, immediately. A quick rap on the door took all the patience that she had, bursting into the room seconds later. The professor had his head bent over scrolls that spread across his desk, looking up from them instantly with anger on his small face. Once realizing whom had just entered his room uninvited, his face switched from anger to nervous. "Ms. Ashwood...how...you...you should never walk into a room uninvited. I am very busy you se-"
"I got a letter today from the London Wizarding Orchestra. I had a shoe in Professor, hell I had two shoes in, and I was declined." Karma snapped, tilting her head ever so slightly to the side. The girl had been playing the violin since she was three, and was expected to go on playing after she was done at Hogwarts. The London Wizarding Orchestra was the most renown orchestra in the world, and Karma was given a thumbs up from the conductor months before when they had met during summer holiday. She sent in her official application a week before and just receaved an owl saying that they regretted to inform her that after a letter from her professor they had to reconsider their choice and that she should continue her musical career else where.
"That is very unfortunate Ms. Ashwood, but I dont really understand how I have anything to do with that." Professor Flitwick said in a hush voice, not making eye contact with Karma. She just shook her head slow, taking a seat across from the professor, crossed her legs carefully and slid the letter across his desk, pushing the scrolls out of the way as she did so. His eyes quickly scanned the parchment, it was clear to Karma when the reached the line where the writer had outed her professor as the reason for her being declined. "I am the best player you have in that damn orchestra Professor, you have said so yourself, I deserve that chair more then ANYONE." She explained calmly, while at the same time her voice oozing with hate and anger.
It was clear that at first the professor didnt know how to respond, and after what seemed like three years worth of silence, he sighed. "To be a member of the London Wizarding Orchestra, you have to be able to communicate with others Ms. Ashwood. Its a family unit, that orchestra, which is one of the reasons that they play in such a great fashion. You are not capable of that, its been said by many others aside from myself. While it is true that you are a very talented young women, you are also a very temperamental, controlling, and over bearing young women as well, traits that I have been dealing with as your conductor for 6 years now, and that is something that I can wish upon no one else. Now if you would excuse me, I have to get back to planning tomorrows lesson." He nodded his head, putting back on his tiny glasses and returning to reading his scrolls. Karma sat motionless for moments, unsure if she had the ability to walk or speak. Without thinking about it, the girl got up, walked out of the room, closing the large door quietly, and stood in the hallway. It wasnt until several Ravenclaw students were around her that realize she was screaming profanities at the closed door, sometimes just letting out scornful screams. Professor Flitwick sat behind that door, reading his scrolls and ignoring yet another outburst from Karma Ashwood.
