tearing love apart,
It had been a fairly long time since Lily had walked the streets of Hogsmeade. A whole year to be exact. After leaving Hogwarts she chose to try and live a life without magic, with muggle friends however it didn’t exactly go to plan – having been brought up with magic she found the muggle life quite hard and she found it difficult to be accepted. So after a mere two years she rented herself a flat in the outskirts of London and received a job in the Ministry of Magic – labelling herself an unspeakable. It was a strange job, one that she had been sworn into secrecy by the minister of magic himself! She was unable to speak about her work outside of the department of mysteries. Even then the conversation was always rendered dead. So for once it was nice to be able to be out and about having some alone time without having to worry about what she is saying where. She wasn’t awfully sure why she had picked hogsmeade to have a wander around in, and to be honest dusk had fallen she should really have been heading home, however she found herself strolling up hogsmeade path heading towards the shrieking shack like she did when she had snuck out of school.
She missed her school days. Life had been easy – not having to support yourself, being able to just sit in classes with friends all day long without a care in the world. Although she had recently turned twenty she still hadn’t really done much with her life. Friends had moved in with their lovers, some had kids or were married, others had aspiring careers, their own stores, making a living of there own and here lily was only just finding her own feet. She was single, had no children and had begun a job that was incredibly difficult to keep shut about. And lily always had been one for a big mouth. She was beginning to think the best idea was to quit the well payed job before she could do any wrong and find some job bar tending or something to just get her by.
She sighed slightly, arriving at the gate to the path leading up to the shack. She leant her arms folded on the fencing glancing up at the house that just looked like if one screw dropped the place would just collapse into dust. She hadn’t been in there since her last day at school. Her and a bunch of school friends decided to get drunk and party till early hours of the morning before realising that they had a few exams on the final day. Somehow she’d scraped through and got decent grades but she still wished she had tried harder. She sighed once more continuing to daze up at the shack.
