overall history:
Annabelle was born December 18th in Suffolk, England to Samuel and Elizabeth Marino in a community where both muggles and wizards lived.
Being an only child she was spoiled to a small extent, mainly by her father, but she was kept grounded by the morals and values her parents had bestowed upon her. There were never any discussions about blood types, wealth, or other rakings… With Elizabeth being disowned by her family for marrying a wizard and with Samuel's parents disapproving his marriage to a muggle they both knew they wanted to raise their children to be open to all walks of life. When she was five years old her mother enrolled her into a regular muggle grade school so she could socialize with children of both the muggle and wizardry worlds.
Annabelle was extremely bright for her age and did well in school except for a few issues here and there. It became apparent that Annabelle was someone who had little patience for things like bullying or disrespect. There had been several occasions where she had gotten in trouble for pushing a boy who had been taunting her and her friends. It was an action that had repeated itself several times much to her parents displeasure, but they eventually came to the conclusion that it was better that their daughter was willing to stick up for herself and others.
By the time she was eight years old Annabelle was showing quite a bit of magical ability. Her father would pull her aside to teacher her a few simple spells after he got home from work which greatly satisfied her craving for knowledge. It was because of her constant curiosity and studying of things that her parents were fairly convinced that she would get into Ravenclaw, even though she did have a strong sense of adventure. It truly didn’t matter to them what house she would end up in. By the time Annabelle received her letter from Hogwarts she was more than prepared to go to school having studied the whole summer previously. School was an exciting, fun, and relaxing environment for the sorted Gryffindor.
As a first year she often got in trouble for sneaking out late at night to snag one of the practice brooms, most of which she had crashed. She had even broke her arm in one incident where she crashed a broom into a shed on school grounds. She did this in hopes of learning how to ride a broom faster than any of the other first years because she was determined to get on Gryffindor's qudditch team.
Luckily after the first year she learned how to do things more discreetly. She never did anything real harmful... In the end all she wanted to do was explore the castle and she did that in her own sneaky way. Perhaps she wasn't as sneaky as she had thought thought though because she did get caught a few times. It was because of this she became best friends with Christopher Davies and James Potter (though she had been friends with James since she was eight). Like nature attended Dawn matured greatly during her fifth and sixth year. She took her studies more seriously and ended up doing well in most of her classes much to her relief.
If one thing stayed true throughout the years it was Annabelle's personality. She never backed down from a challenge or from what she believed to be right. After graduation from Hogwarts she began training to become an auror and literally began her career from the bottom up. Now at twenty three she works as a full fledge Auror and is involved with the Order.

role play sample:‘To hell with homework,’ Dawn Holbrook thought after spending thirty minutes trying to start her transfiguration essay. Slowly standing up she dropped her favorite warn out quill onto the rich oak of the desk she had been studying at for the past two hours. While rolling up the blank pieces of parchment she glanced around the empty common room with an irritated sigh. Normally the brunette wouldn’t have mind having the large room, but for whatever reason she was incredibly restless at the moment. Why couldn’t it be the weekend already?
She wasn’t ready to retire in her dorm and she didn’t have the proper concentration to finish her school work… Gathering up all of her belongings she turned around and quickly made her way up the stairs to the girl’s dorms. Pushing open the heavy wooden door she carefully tip-toed her way around her sleeping room-mates to get to her own bed. She honestly didn’t want to be blamed for anyone’s lack of sleep simply because she was wide awake. Kneeling down at the foot of her bed she pulled open the black trunk that was resting there, so she could pull out a change of clothes.
Within a few minutes she was wearing plain black leggings that clung to her long, lean, and shapely legs and a black tank top that was covered by a loose hoodie. With her broom in hand she walked over to the window which happened to be right next to her bed before pushing it open and allowing the cold night air into the cozy room. Climbing up onto the windowsill she crouched down low as she jumped onto her faithful Nimbus 2000, which floated about seventy feet above the ground. Using her foot she kicked the window closed before dipping the tip of the old broom straight down.
The chilly night air rushed past her body as a satisfied smile crept onto her face. With her hair flying wilding around her face she watched as the distance of the grassy ground became less and less. Waiting at the last minute she pulled the broom up swiftly just so the bristles barely kissed the ground in front of the tower.
Dawn was convinced that there wasn’t much that could compare to the feeling of flying. All she could hear and feel at at the moment was the pounding of her thundering heart. There were no thoughts of school, homework, or anything really… Her mind was free as her broom carried her around the school.
It required skills to control a broom, but for Dawn it came as natural as breathing. It had always been a passion of hers ever since she had witnessed her first quidditch match at the age of three. Then her busy father would take her out for rides on his broomstick after supper, so it became a special bonding ritual between the two of them. A memory she secretly cherished with all her might...
It’s a fickle thing how one could lose track of time by doing something so simple. With her body and mind finally feeling at peace she slowed down the pace of her broom as she made her way around the school one last time.
Her eyes had been wondering around aimlessly when she had spotted something through one of the windows which caused her to do a double take. It didn’t take much to figure out that it was the trophy room… Case after case displayed the accomplishments of past and present students.
“What the hell?” she questioned quietly to herself as she got closer to the window only to spot a familiar figure. Keeping one hand on the broom she pulled out her wand to open the window from the inside so she could get in.
“Here’s to you good buddy.”
Yes, she could recognize that drunken voice from anywhere as it had a slight slur. Flying through the window she allowed her feet to touch the stone ground before perching the broom up against one of the many display cases. Staying silent she quickly took in the sight before her as she pushed some hair out of her face. Did someone find Davies lying around somewhere and thought it would be fun to leave his body all the way up there? No, she doubted that being that he was holding onto one of the trophies with one hand and his infamous flask with the other.
Shaking her head she slid open the glass shield of one of the cases so she could use the shelves to climb up. It took her a few minutes to reach him, but soon enough Dawn found herself sitting next to Davies. Letting out a small sigh she couldn’t help but be reminded of all the times she had spent countless hours of detention in there with none other than Christopher Davies himself. It was always funny how he thought that he had left such a 'bad influence' on her, but truth of the matter was that she would have ended up as the same troublemaker reguardless.
Turing her head she lifted a leg up to be drawn up to her chest so her chin could rest comfortably on her knee as her remaining leg was left dangling over the edge. After studying the intoxicated Gryffindor she knew something other than his balance was off, but decided to greet him in a usual manner. “So, you decided to start a party in here and you didn’t even invite me? You weren't snogging with that trophy were you?”
