This is Eglantine Alice Longbottom, or Lana as she prefers, though her family tends to prefer Eggy. She doesn’t let many people get away with calling her Eggy, or anything she doesn’t like for that matter. She has a little temper, she likes doing things her own way, and she likes everything to be in order, and to be perfect, otherwise she gets mad. Lana is known to be a little temperamental and when she lashes out, it is never pretty and often a little fiery. Then she’ll go back to being a cute little fairy. She is very hyper and loves running around and talking your ear off (don’t interrupt her, yes she will interrupt you, but she hates being interrupted). Lana is never one to turn down a dare, or an opportunity to do something new. She is rather adventurous and is often found in trees ready to jump in front of the next unsuspecting person. Sometimes, those around Lana might wonder when she will grow up, as she likes to act like there isn’t a care in the world and is rather imaginative, often going off about something and saying whatever comes to mind, she likes to imagine new things, and of course try and come up with new potions. Unlike her father, Lana is rather good at potions (her mother says it’s her confidence, she has plenty ), and she likes to use her knowledge of and knack for plants that she got from her father and mix it with the potions and come up with new things. Not much of it has worked yet, but she doesn’t really care. She’s too stubborn. Once she starts something, she refuses to end it, until she has tried everything. She hates to admit that she is wrong, and likely won’t. She is always right in her mind, just as it is always better to do things the way she wants them. Once she has her mind set on something, there is not changing it.
Lana loves to talk, and to play, and party, and climb trees, and be in nature. Basically, she just wants to have a good time and be a kid for as long as possible and try and not think of all the bad whenever she can. She tries to give everyone a chance, no matter what they think, as her mother always taught her. But, as she is stubborn and believes she is always right, she often puts people off who don’t believe in what she does (like the order). Lana is also rather curious, though it’s normally used more towards things and how they work and not towards people. She likes her fair share of pranks, but it’s all in good fun. She’s loyal to her friends, even if her temper might seem otherwise. She will do anything for them. Her friends have her trust from the beginning, until they do something to lose it, then it is almost impossible to get back.
With her quick tongue and fierce temper, Lana has probably made a few enemies. She doesn’t always like to be outwardly mean, but she also doesn’t tend to think before she speaks and sometimes says things she doesn’t mean. She likes to avoid people she doesn't like, because she knows she gets mad easily and she likes being distracted from bad feelings. But, if you set off her temper she isn't against using potions and/or plants against you, even if it is a little bit slower than other means. Jinxes aren't her strong point, and she can be patient when she wants to.
Lana doesn’t always know when she is flirting. With romance, she tends to be just slightly awkward and confused, and more up for joking and having picnics than anything serious. She doesn’t do one-night stands, and relationships kind of freak her out. She’s not against them, and she can easily go into the whole romantic thing, she just doesn’t know how to act and she doesn’t like that.
