SORRY LIKE AN ANGEL 459 words// tag:open// one republic// someone join?
Something was definitely going on. Kara could feel it in the core of her bones. Her parents were excited, happy. Anything Kara did didn’t upset them. Something was surely going on. But “what” was the question.
Kara yawned when she rolled out of her bed. She had lived in this lovely loft for the last three years after an argument with her father. They of course welcomed her back with open arms, but Kara didn’t want to go back. The brunette ran her long fingers through her messy locks before she dragged herself into the bathroom.
The hit witch was never one for the morning. During her training and studies, she was always alert, but since then, most of her jobs were at night where she didn’t need to be alert in the morning.
Her usual routine went on. She took a shower, brushed her teeth, owled her parents, checked her mail, brew some coffee, and sat on her love seat looking at the various jobs she had been sent. Most people would be insane to even consider some of these, but Kara was indifferent. She could careless, a job was a job, and she was good at what she did.
Outside would be a day for anyone normal to go out in. Say hello to some friends and relax in the summer air. The sun was high and barely any clouds were shadowing it’s rays. For that moment, Kara was normal. Her loft sat in Muggle London, a place she knew she wouldn’t be bothered by magic she didn’t welcome. She had a large sun hat on covering her pair skin and dark raven hair. A pair of sunglasses shielded her eyes while a long blue dress framed her body. That was usually how she dressed, like she had somewhere to go, somewhere she needed to look the part and make sure not to embarrass her family.
The train took her down to where she wanted to go. She dodged large crowds of people and finally slipped through a door held by a building, most would never glance at unless they were fully aware of it and it’s importance. The Leaky Cauldron hosted a few sketchy characters, but always magic was in the air. The woman made her way to the bar and took a seat.
She pulled her hat and glasses off before a warm, but fake, smile appeared on her lovely face. “Just the usual for me.” She pulled out a couple of knuts and two gallons which she handed to the owner in return of her favorite lunch: firewhiskey and a large bowl of stew with a side of fresh bake sourdough beard, she would always demand everytime she walked in there as a child.

It meant no kids for a while and he was glad of it. Sure he loved teaching students how to defend themselves but there was a time where he needed alone time. Albus's green eyes wondered around his parents home that he still lived in during the summer. Yes it was ironic how he was twenty-two and he was still living in his parents home. He needed one of his own eventually and he decided today was going to be the day he was going to find a place of his own. He was too old to live in his parents house.
Not that living at his parents house was a bad thing but he didn't know where he wanted to live. Either it was in Muggle London or in Godric's Hallow near his parents or in another neighborhood. He wasn't sure yet but he decided to stumble out of bed and go to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Wrapping a towel around his waist he walked back into his room and put on some random clothes that looked decent enough for the day. He smiled and went and grabbed a bowl of cereal and gobbled it down.
He yelled out to his parents that he was leaving to go to Diagon Alley to get some things before school started again. He needed a few teaching tools that he didn't have for his seventh years. He was going to teach them things that were pretty cool this year. He wanted to impress them. He wanted to learn something awesome before the year is over and they graduate. Yes he loved being Deputy Headmaster as well. He would love to become Headmaster but in order for that to happen the old Headmaster has to die first.
Walking into Diagon Alley he let out a happy kind of sigh. He had no idea what he was looking for but he would know when he saw it. He walked over to a shop and found a book that would look helpful for the seventh years and scanned it. He let out a smile because he realized he knew this kind of stuff and bought the book. He was going to read it before he made it the text for the day. He decided he was going to walk back into The Leaky Cauldron for lunch when he spotted Kara Black. He walked over to her and stood there. "Hey Kara how's it going?" he asked her with a small smile on his face.

SORRY LIKE AN ANGEL 426 words// tag: Albus// one direction// oh this will be interesting
Kara rubbed her hands together. It was definitely worth the wait and the owner knew it. Her stew was made perfect, down to the temperature. It had different vegetables in it plus some meat here and there. It was mouth watering in Kara’s mind. But first, she needed some firewhiskey.
The girl popped the lid off of her bottle and took a long swing. It felt like a fire rolling down her throat, but she loved the familiarity of it. It felt good and tasted even better. The girl enjoyed her second drink more before she took the bread and tore it open. Steam rolled up and out of it. She took the creamy butter from the side and spread it around before dipping it in the stew and taking a big bite out of it. She was in heaven and totally not ready to be socialable. Except it didn’t matter if she was ready or not.
Someone came up to her, and surprisingly knew who she was. The girl looked up at the guy standing there. She raised an eyebrow and chewed before forcing the large bite down. She took her firewhiskey and took one more drink which helped. She grunted a bit trying to clear her throat. “Uh hey.” She said looked at him and recognized him, except she was having trouble remembering.
Something in the back of her head screamed at her. He was a Potter. Someone Kara was taught endlessly to hate, and to continually hate, and never trust. The girl motioned to the seat next to her. “You can sit if you’re staying around.” It wasn’t meant to be rude, but the girl was usually sarcastic. She took a napkin and wiped her mouth and slightly turned to him. There was something about this one though. Again it hit her. He was also named after Albus Dumbledore, someone her family also hated.
“Well to answer your question.” She paused and picked up her spoon. She circled it in her bowl a bit before shrugging. “It’s going alright on my side of things.” There wasn’t much to Kara except her job, but that was something she rather not discuss, that could bring trouble she would rather not have in her life. Especially when her parents were acting strange. “How about you?” she was trying really hard to be polite and friendly without acting. Kara reached over for some more bread, and dipped it, but managed to keep the bite small. But she also stuffed in a spoon of the stew as well.
